FAQs

Does Dr. Koniaris provide primary care?

No, Dr. Koniaris does not provide primary care services. Instead, she supplements the care you receive by filling in the gaps on your wellness journey. She requests that you have an independent primary care provider and that you provide her with all of your medical records so that she may review everything prior to your initial visit.

Does Dr. Koniaris provide IV therapy?

No, Dr. Koniaris does not provide IV therapy.  As Dr. Weil told her graduating class: “Veins are hidden for a reason”. Though there are exceptions, Dr. Koniaris believes that, with the right nutrition and an integrative approach to mind, body and spirit, one usually does not need IV therapies

Can I use my HSA/FSA funds to pay for your services?

Yes. Depending on your provider we may be able to take HSA/FSA.  Check with your tax/benefits expert regarding your HSA, FSA, or HRA plan for eligibility.  Dr. Koniaris can provide you with documentation of your visit that you can submit to your non-Medicare/Medicaid insurance carrier.

Does Dr. Koniaris accept insurance plans?

Dr. Koniaris does not accept insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid at this time. This is so as to give each patient the time and attention necessary to address them wholly in an integrative manner.  An invoice can be provided upon request for submission for insurance (except Medicare/Medicaid) reimbursement, or for HSA, FSA, or HRA documentation, if eligible. If this approach to your wellness resonates with you but you currently face economic hardship, please contact us to discuss possible alternative payment options.

Where is Dr. Koniaris's office located?

At this time Dr. Koniaris does not have an office, but instead provides home visits. Part of your wellness comes from your environment and she feels that getting to know you completely also entails seeing where and how you live. This allows for more tailored advice and treatment. Many people also feel more comfortable and less anxious receiving care in their own homes.

Home visits are particularly beneficial for people who have difficulty traveling to an office due to mobility issues, chronic illnesses, or other disabilities. The home environment often makes it easier for patients to communicate openly and for Dr. Koniaris to observe factors affecting your health that might not be apparent in an office setting.
