About Me.
I am an Integrative Medicine physician and founder of Perfect Balance Integrative Medicine of Milton. I am so grateful that I live in beautiful Milton, GA on a horse/donkey farm where I am surrounded by a myriad of animals with my husband and two teenage kids.
I always wanted to be a healer. I was fascinated by all living things. However, as a child rushing home to watch Little House on the Prairie, I realized that I wanted to be just like Dr. Baker. Making home visits, getting to know the families in his community, and always being present even if there was nothing that medically he could do. He understood that sometimes just listening and holding a hand, holding space, was enough.

After medical school and an internal medicine residency however, I realized that primary care had become 15-minute visit intervals where speed was of the essence. Gone were the days of getting to know your patients any deeper than their presenting problem. The only place in medicine where home visits were still happening and where you could spend time with patients and families was at the end of life. I have therefore had the privilege of accompanying patients with life-limiting diagnoses (and their families), from their diagnosis to their death, for the past 20 years. I have shared many hugs, shed many tears, and gotten to know many patients and their families. However, after so many years of observing people struggling with chronic diseases and hearing their stories of how they got there, I became convinced that there had to be ways of impacting the disease trajectory earlier on so as to stall and even reverse its course. I also became convinced that a chronic disease is not always predestined and that we can be and stay healthy our whole lives.
